Wilderness & Bear Awareness

Upon the completion of this course, participants will better understand how to handle uncertain situations in the outdoors, specifically related to animal encounters. This course also included added modules for wilderness survival and general safety.

Duration: 2.5 hours (approximately)

  • Defensive vs. Non-defensive attacks
  • Bear deterrents
  • Emergency shelters
  • Lightning
  • High-wind situations (around trees)
  • Help signals
  • Safe drinking water
  • Cold awareness

COMPLETION

Upon successful completion, students will have the ability to download and print a completion certification/ticket.

While this course does not include any practical components, TriTech Safety is pleased to offer an in-class version where the demonstration of bear deterrents are demonstrated and/or practiced. This course is available as requested either in-house or at your location for a group.
