WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

WHMIS (GHS) SELF-TEACH® BOOK

This program covers the basic skills to work safely around hazardous materials. The course covers worker education, workplace labeling and emphasizes the importance of understanding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS’s). This training is meant to be used as independent study and allows students to go at their own pace. It works well in small or large groups and provides room for discussion and site specific training.

This course meets all of Health Canada’s training requirements under the Hazardous Products Regulations (HPR), for all persons involved in handling workplace chemicals.

Each package includes training materials for one person: a Self-Teach manual, a final exam that the employer marks, a sample SDS, sample supplier label, competency check, practical workplace exercises for site specific training, WHMIS Handbook and a certificate.

COMPLETION

**Employer-specific certification is required by legislation. Clients may authorize TriTech Safety & Training Inc. to issue employer specific certification.

Upon successful completion students will have the ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills.
