Standard First Aid – CPR & AED (BC Certification Available)

This 2 day Standard First Aid Course covers the essential modules required for first aid certification and utilizes less theory and workbooks, and more scenarios and practical applications. The focus is on recognition of life-threatening injuries while learning to provide intervention until medical aid arrives. Students demonstrate artificial respiration, how to assist with airway obstructions, and how to deal with shock and unconsciousness. They learn to control deadly bleeding, how to deal with bone & joint injuries of upper and lower limbs, and proper first aid for head and spinal injuries. CPR for adult victims is covered thoroughly.

This course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. It meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. This course exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR, and AED.
