Upon the completion of this Chainsaw Safety Training course, participants will understand how to prevent and avoid workplace injuries, illnesses and emergencies.
Please note: While previously only offered offsite, we are excited to once again offer this training in-house at our location!
TOPICS INCLUDE
- Personal protection & hazard assessment
- Worker training & working alone
- Emergency Response
- Chainsaw features, maintenance and handling
- Basic operation techniques
- Environmental hazards
- Heat & cold related injuries
This course includes a practical component where students complete a pre-inspection checklist and then demonstrate safe operation of the equipment.
IMPORTANT: Full chainsaw PPE is required – gloves, hard hat, eye protection, ear plugs, chainsaw pants, steel toe/work boots.
COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a temporary Certificate of Completion. The permanent certification will be mailed to your employer within 30-days of completion.
