This safety training course will allow participants to understand the how to safely operate all aerial lifts (including but not limited to scissor lifts and boom lifts). According to OH&S legislation, there is no-longer specific training requirements for different boom heights (i.e. under 80 ft vs. over 80 ft).
NOTE: VALID, UNEXPIRED IN-PERSON 8 HOUR FALL PROTECTION TRAINING IS A PRE-REQUISITE FOR THIS COURES – PREFERRED TRAININGS ARE THE 3M COMPREHENSIVE (8 HR) OR THE ENERGY SAFETY CANADA FALL PROTECTION (8 HR).
If you do not already hold a valid Fall Protection ticket, we offer a combination course (Monday through Friday) where you can obtain the 3M Fall Protection ticket and our AWP ticket in one day! Call us for more information or to book!
This course includes a practical component where students complete a pre-inspection checklist and then demonstrate safe operation of the equipment.
Steel toe/work boots are required for this training. Accommodations may be made for closed-toe shoes if the participant does not own steel toes (absolutely no sandals will be permitted). Full PPE is suggested.
Please dress for the weather, as the practical portion of this course might take place outdoors.
Upon successful completion of the practical components and the written exam (with a minimum score of 70%), you will receive a permanent Certificate of Completion.
