Training Accommodation

We are committed to providing accessible training for all. If you or the person you’re booking for require specific accommodations, please let us know in advance. This will help us tailor the training environment to best suit your needs.

Physical Limitations / Injuries

At our institution, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional safety training to all of our students. This includes those with physical limitations or injuries who may require modified practical tasks in the classroom.

Our highly trained instructors work closely with students to ensure that they receive the same level of education and training as their peers, while also taking their individual needs into consideration. If you or the person you wish to book for training have recently suffered an injury, or endure some type of ongoing physical limitation, please inform the admin staff at the time of booking. Our instructors are able to better prepare for their class when they have some prior knowledge of their students’ needs.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and inclusive environment, and our safety training programs always reflects this core value.

Language Barriers

Our safety training class is designed to accommodate individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds, regardless of any language barriers that may exist. Whether you are a non-native English speaker, have limited reading and writing skills, or face any other challenges, we warmly welcome you to join our training classes.

Please notify us at the time of booking if you, or the person you wish to book for training, struggle to speak, comprehend, read or write in English.

Accommodations for students with limited reading and writing skills can include:

  • Options for verbal examinations after class (opposed to written tests)
  • Teaching styles that do not rely on textbook learning (i.e. verbal lecture from the instructor all day)
  • Accommodations for students with limited spoken English can include:
  • A self-appointed translator to join you in the class (free of charge)
  • The use of one of our translation tablets to help translate textbooks and the final examination

Please note: We recommend an IELTS score of 6 or higher to successfully pass a safety training course with TriTech Safety, without the use of any accommodation aids. An IELTS score of 4 or less will most certainly struggle to complete our level of training courses, so the aid of a personal translator is strongly recommended. Students and translators may be asked to leave if their presence in the classroom is distracting to the instructor, students, or greatly prolonging the duration of the class.
